cat's eye view
The roaring 1950's are making a comeback, in a huge way. Of course the cat-eye glasses were coming back with it, they were one of the signature symbols of the 50's. This particular pair are Tom Ford's take on cat eye sunglasses. Although Tom's might not be in your price range (this pair costs about $250) you can pick up a cheap pair from Forever 21, Target or even a vintage clothing store for pretty cheap. Once you get a pair of these you'll be set for the summer... meow!

So wake up and smell the roses, go get yourself some cute floral patterned frocks and shorts and you'll be set for summer.

Stripe Hype

Stripe Hype
Nothing says summer like nautical stripes. Whether you may be going for the sailor or Parisian look, stripes will never be out of style. Nothing says spring like white pants

Nothing says spring like white pants
From Vogue to Harper's Bazaar, white pants are a constant staple piece for Spring. I have this pair and I got them from American Eagle. They're stretch jeans, which makes them really comfortable. **Keep in mind that American Eagle jeans tend to run a bit bigger than other jeans, if you are regularly a 5, I might suggest a 3. I am a 3 but I wear a 2 and sometimes a 0. So just make sure you try them on!

The "boyfriend" blazer
The "boyfriend" look is all the rage in 2010, from boyfriend jeans to boyfriend blazers. Basically, if you don't already own one, get one.

Spring nail polish

Spring nail polish
Unusually, this year's spring nail polishes are not bright and obnoxious like usual. They're quite the opposite actually. In many magazines (and on my nails right now) are shades of dirt brown polish. My theory is that this spring is all about natural, so these brown earthy tones are really in for nail polish.

Brooke Shields, need I say more?

Brooke Shields, need I say more?
I'm completely inspired by Brooke Shields' looks in her younger days. Her natural blue eyes, chestnut hair, and pail pink lips are to die for in this picture. This is my perfect combination.

Black is something you can always count on seeing at any fashion week, during any season, in any year. It is a timeless fashion and definitely worth having.

Effortless beauty

Effortless beauty
A clean and natural look is totally IN for spring. So ditch the heavy foundation for a new light weight powder, in many beautiful shades. I have had Bare Minerals makeup for a year now and I absolutely love it. My favorite product is the Bare Minerals All-Over Face Color. I own it in Faux Tan. It gives your skin a nice, subtle glow, without looking too orange. It's perfect for a "natural, no makeup" look.

Oh my lord, lace!

Oh my lord, lace!
Lace is all the rage this Spring. If you don't feel like splurging on a new lace dress, I suggest going to a local vintage shop, they are notorious for lace, lace, lace and did I say lace?

Bonjour!

Long time no post. I've had no time to really sit down and give my blog the attention it deserves. Considering it is 3:07 am right now, I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to pick up the slack. I would like to suggest a wonderful new site that I discovered, which I am TOTALLY in love with. The website is www.Zara.com, it's a wonderful website with amazing clothes, look-books, and so much more. Not only does Zara give you wonderful ideas for new outfits consisting of the clothes you already have but on September 2nd you'll be able to shop online, and purchase some of their wonderfully fashionable clothes (which by the way are wicked cheap!). This website is a must-have bookmark for all you fashionista's out there. I hope you're all having a wonderful summer and staying effortlessly beautiful.

Your fellow fashion blogger,
